Supply is a business template made with creative designers in mind. Its sidebar navigation, customizable Products Page, Index navigation thumbnails, and stylized layout emphasize the important aspects of each product and image in your store.
See the left navigation sidebar for information on building and customizing specific parts of your site. If you haven't yet picked a template, you can get help with initial installation at Getting started with Squarespace. You can also visit our general tips on getting started with Commerce.
Note: Visit the Supply Live Preview page for examples of real customer sites using this template. If you've already created a site, you can switch your template at any time.
Designed for commerce
Supply’s commerce-specific features include a customizable background and on-hover effects.
Customizable sidebar navigation
Supply displays the Main Navigation and Secondary Navigation in a sidebar on all pages.
Grid-based Index Page
The Index Page organize multiple pages or galleries into a single collection using thumbnail images. These are useful if you have multiple galleries or projects, or want to use images to represent links to your content.
Certain tweaks and settings can make a big impact on how your site looks and behaves. Play with the following options until you settle on a design you love.
To open any panel, press the ? key and search for its name.
Open the Style Editor panel. These are some key tweaks that affect the whole site:
- Site Wide > Site Vertical Alignment
- Site Wide > Page Color
- Header > Header Color
- Header > Header Border, Header Border Thickness, and Header Border Color (you may need to change the opacity)
- Navigation > Folder Links
- Social > Show Social Icons (you must first have connected accounts.)
To get a feel for setting up and styling an online shop, add a Products Page with at least three products. Give at least one of them a category. Save and refresh. Then open the Style Editor and experiment with these tweaks:
- Products > Product Background Color
- Products > Product Aspect Ratio
- Products > Product Column Width and Product Gutter
- Products > Product List Style
Open your Pages panel and add an Index Page to your Main Navigation. Click Add Page to add pages, or drag in existing pages. To get a feel for how your Index works, we suggest adding at least four pages, and adding thumbnail images to each of them.
Click on your Index Page title in the navigation and open the Style Editor. To style your Index Page, try these key tweaks:
- Index > Index Background Color
- Index > Index List Style
- Index > Index Column Width and Index Gutter
- Index > Index Aspect Ratio
