Create sale pricing

  1. Open the Pages panel and select a store page.
  2. Click All, then double-click a product to open its editor. For detailed steps, visit Editing a product.
  3. If the product has no variants, scroll to the Inventory section, switch the toggle on beside On sale, and set the sale price.
  4. If the product has variants, scroll to the Variants section and click Edit all. For every variant the sale will apply to, click the On sale field, switch the toggle on beside On sale, and set the sale price.

  1. When you're finished, click Back, then click Save to save your changes and keep editing, or Exit, then Save to close the editor.

How sale prices display

The way sale prices display depends on your variant pricing. If all variants have the same regular price and sale price, the product will display:

  • The new price
  • The original price with a strikethrough
  • A Sale badge

If variants have different pricing, the product will display:

  • Prices starting at the lowest sale price
  • Sale badge

Design and customization options depend on your site's version. Visit Styling store pages to learn more.

Add a Sale category

To help customers browse all items on sale, create a Sale category. This adds a navigation link on your store page to all items in the sale category.

Create a store-wide sale

To offer a general sale on many products at once:

  1. Open the Products & services panel, then click Products.
  2. Click the Price field beside the products you want to edit.
  3. Switch the toggle on beside On sale and set the sale price.

You can also use discounts to take a certain amount off a customer's entire order, or create sales for product categories, like 10% off all tops.

Tip

To promote your sale, add a banner to the top of your store with an announcement bar.

Digital products

It's not possible to create sale pricing for your digital products. You can offer a discount code to sell your digital products at a reduced price.

Subscription products

Sale pricing applies to subscriptions purchased during the sale and all their ongoing subscription payments, even after the sale ends. To reduce the price for a limited number of subscription payments, create a discount.

Promote your sales with an email campaign

If you want to alert regular customers to your sales, create a campaign with Email Campaigns, Squarespace's built-in email marketing feature.
