If you ship products within the United States, you can buy and print USPS shipping labels through Squarespace to save a trip to the post office and streamline your order fulfillment processes.

Requirements
You can buy shipping labels through Squarespace if:
- The billing address for your website subscription is within the United States.
- You ship products within the United States.
- You ship products via USPS. It's not possible to buy and print shipping labels for other services at this time.
- You are on a Business or Commerce plan.
- You use a computer. It’s not possible to buy shipping labels from mobile devices, although you can print or cancel a shipping label in the Squarespace app after purchasing it on a computer.
Buy and print shipping labels
Buy and print shipping labels for individual orders in the Orders panel. Rates are calculated by USPS based on distance, package size and weight, and the service you select.
- In the Home menu, click Commerce, then click Orders.
- Click a pending order.
- Click Purchase label.
Add your seller information:
- In the window that opens, add your return address.
- Select a label format. You can print a standard 8.5 x 11” printer label or a 4 x 6” label printer label. It’s not possible to print custom sizes.
- Check the box beside Set as default seller information to save these details for future purchases.
- If you don’t check this box, you’ll need to add your seller information each time you buy a shipping label.
Tip: If we’re missing the shipping label size you need, click Share your feedback in the shipping label window to let us know.
Add package details:
- Click Shipping label.
- (Optional) Click Edit to edit the customer’s shipping address. This change will appear on the shipping label, but not the order summary.
- Click the Package type drop-down menu to select custom packaging, or select USPS for carrier packaging.
If you select custom packaging:
- Enter the package dimensions and weight, including the weight of the packing materials.
- To save the package details, click Save package.
- Enter a name for the package.
- Click Save.
If you select USPS:
- Select a carrier packaging option from the drop-down menu and enter the package weight, including the weight of the packing materials.
- Available USPS shipping options will display: Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, First Class Mail, or Parcel Select. Compare the options to the one your customer selected at checkout, which displays above the options. Click an option to select it.
Note: It's not possible to buy and and print shipping labels for Media Mail, Retail Ground, or any international USPS services through Squarespace.
Complete the purchase and print the label:
- Click Review order.
- To edit the payment information, click Edit.
- Click Confirm and purchase.
- To print the label, click Print label. Or click Return to shipping to go back to the shipping label window. To print the label later, open the order, click the … icon.
After you print the shipping label, mark the order as fulfilled. The tracking number will be added automatically to the order fulfilled email.
In the shipping label window, click the … icon to:
- Reprint shipping label - Print the label again. You can do this as many times as you need to before the label is scanned.
- Cancel shipping label - Cancel the label. Cancelled labels are refunded 15 to 31 days after their purchase date.
Edit a saved package
To edit or a delete a saved package:
- In the Home menu, click Commerce, then click Orders.
- Click a pending order.
- Click Purchase label.
- In the package and weight section, select your saved package from the Package type drop-down menu.
- Click Edit or Delete.
- After editing a saved package, click Save.
Edit your seller information
To edit your seller information, open an order and click Review label or Purchase label, depending on if you've already created a label for the order.
- Click Seller information.
- Click Edit.
- Make the changes.
- Check the box beside Set as default seller information.
- Click Close.
View shipping labels and receipts
To review shipping label details, open an order and click Review label. To view receipts for the shipping labels you’ve purchased, go to the Home menu, click Billing, then click Invoices.
Edit shipping labels
It’s not possible to edit a shipping label after you buy it. Instead, cancel the shipping label and create a new one. You’ll receive a refund for the cancelled label 15 to 31 days after you bought it.
Cancel shipping labels
To cancel a shipping label:
- Open the order the label is connected to.
- Click Review label.
- Click the … icon.
- Click Cancel shipping label.
When you cancel an order, the shipping label connected to the order is cancelled automatically. Cancelled labels are refunded 15 to 31 days after the purchase date. Refund approval is handled by the carrier, and we can’t speed up the process.
FAQ
What happens if I don’t use a shipping label?
You’ll receive a refund automatically for any unused labels 15 to 31 days after the purchase date. It’s not possible to speed up the refund process.
Can I print a shipping label for an order marked as fulfilled?
Yes. To print a shipping label after fulfilling an order, open the order and click Print label. Then follow the steps at the beginning of this guide.
Can I buy and print multiple shipping labels per order?
No. You can only print one shipping label per order. To print multiple labels, use a third-party service to print more labels.
Can I speed up the refund process?
No. Refunds are approved by the carrier, and we can’t expedite the process.
Can I add shipping insurance?
No. It’s not possible to add shipping insurance to shipping labels purchased through Squarespace.
Can I schedule a pickup through Squarespace?
No. Contact USPS to schedule a pickup.
Can I purchase shipping labels for US military bases abroad?

Why was I charged twice?
If you cancelled a shipping label for an order and created a new one, you’ll have two charges in your bank statement until the cancelled label is refunded. The cancelled label will be refunded 15 to 31 days after you bought it.
