As we continue to build and develop our templates, we occasionally discontinue some. This allows us to focus on improving the templates that benefit customers the most.
Recently discontinued: Marquee, Adversary, Alex, Eamon, Encore, Ginger, Mint, Shift
What will happen to my site if I'm using a discontinued template?
Nothing. Your site will stay online, and you can continue to use and edit the template as you've always been able to.
Can I still get help from Squarespace?
Yes. Customer Care will continue to help you with your site and answer any questions you have. You'll also receive system-wide updates and improvements such as new page types, blocks, and settings.
If bugs or issues arise with your template, we'll typically fix them. However, bugs and issues on discontinued templates have a lower priority for us, and may take longer to resolve while we focus on our current templates.
However, discontinued templates are no longer developed and improved with new design features. The only exception is the templates that are part of an active family: Bryler, Lincoln, and Taylor.
Do I need to switch to a different template?
You can switch to a different template if you want. You're also welcome to continue using the discontinued template. As long as you don't uninstall it, you can even switch back to the discontinued template after trying a new template.
Can I use a discontinued template?
A discontinued template can't be used if the template isn't already installed on your site. It also can't be selected when creating a new site.
