Importing products from Etsy, Shopify, and Big Cartel

Move products from other platforms to Squarespace using a one-time import.

Last updated January 22, 2025

You can import your product inventory from Etsy, Shopify, and Big Cartel. This is a one-time import process, and it won’t continually sync inventories. Any inventory updates you make in Squarespace or the third-party platform won’t appear in the other platform.

To sync inventory automatically and across platforms, connect an inventory and products extension. To learn about extensions, visit Squarespace Extensions.

You can also use our .csv template to import products.

How tags and categories work in Squarespace

In Squarespace, tags and categories control the way your products are organized. After you create a category, your store automatically displays products in a category navigation that visitors can browse through. Tags and categories are also used to determine the related products that display on product details pages. Product tags and categories don't factor into your site's SEO, but other product details do.
