Discontinued features

Features and integrations no longer supported by Squarespace.

Last updated December 2, 2024

We're constantly improving the Squarespace platform to ensure it keeps up with our customers' needs. Sometimes we remove features that are outdated, have more recent alternatives, or are incompatible with the latest web developments. We also remove integrations with products that other companies discontinued.

Here are some features we've discontinued over the years.

Discontinued features and mobile apps

Tips:

  • To edit your site from a mobile device, use the Squarespace app.
  • If you already have discontinued blocks on your site, they will continue to work. If you delete a discontinued block, you won’t be able to re-add it again.
  • Archive blocks work great as a replacement for the list blocks we discontinued.

Legacy plans

We update plans periodically to better group new features. To learn about our discontinued billing plans, visit Legacy billing plans.

Discontinued templates

All version 7.1 sites have access to the same features and style options. While we may sometimes discontinue a version 7.1 template, it won't affect sites created with that template. If a template you wanted to use is no longer available, you can still create a similar site with any version 7.1 template.

In version 7.0, different templates have different features and style options. We occasionally discontinue 7.0 templates to focus energy on improving other parts of the platform. If you have a version 7.0 site, you can't switch to these templates unless you installed them before they were discontinued. To learn more, visit Discontinued version 7.0 templates.

Can I still get help with my discontinued feature?

Yes. We'll continue to help you with your site and answer any questions you have.

If bugs or issues arise with the feature, we'll fix them. However, discontinued features are no longer developed and won't be updated with any new options.
