Learn which services you can use immediately after purchasing with SEPA.

After you purchase a subscription using Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA), you can use some services immediately. For other services, you have to wait until your bank has settled your payment. This depends on the type of subscription you purchased. 

Review the following guide to learn more about when you can use recently purchased subscriptions and the timing of your subscription renewal. 

Services you can use immediately after your subscription payment

You can use these services immediately after you purchase a subscription using SEPA direct debit:

• Email Campaigns
• Google Workspace users you add to an existing Google Workspace account
• Acuity Scheduling
• Digital Products
• Websites

Services you can’t use until your subscription payment settles

When you purchase a subscription for the following services using SEPA direct debit, you can't use the service until your payment has been fully settled. The time it takes to settle payments is up to your bank, not Squarespace. Most payments settle in five days, but can take longer:

• Domain purchases
• New Google Workspace accounts 

To redeem a free domain or Google Workspace offer, you may need to wait until the payment settles.

Note: Domains remain available to the public for registration until the payment is processed. To purchase and use a domain or Google Workspace account immediately, you can choose a different payment method.

Is my subscription payment settled?

To find if your bank has settled your subscription payment, review your Squarespace account invoices. If the invoice shows Processing, but is missing the amount you paid, it’s not settled yet. If you’re still unsure if the payment is settled, contact your bank.

Subscription renewal timing

Timing for when your subscription renews depends on your subscription:

We will send a renewal reminder email when we charge the renewal payment. If auto-renew is disabled, we send an expiration reminder email instead.
