I can't log in

Squarespace 7 offers multiple ways to log into your site. All of these methods require the email address you used to create your Squarespace account and your password.

Squarespace 5 uses a different login location and method from Squarespace 7. For help, visit Logging into Squarespace 5.

If you have trouble logging into your site, follow this guide to troubleshoot.

Tip: If you can't log in, it could be related to a systemwide issue we're fixing. Follow our Status page to stay updated about any downtime.

I'm seeing an error message

If you're seeing an error message when you attempt to log in from squarespace.com/login, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies. You can also try logging in by visiting your built-in or custom domain and adding /config to the end.

I might have a Squarespace 5 site

Squarespace 5 is our older platform, and it uses a different login location and method from Squarespace 7. If your email and password aren't working to log into Squarespace 7 and you think you may have a Squarespace 5 site, visit Logging into Squarespace 5.

I think my password was stolen

If you can't log in because you think someone may have changed your password, visit Recovering your password. After you update your password following the steps in that guide, your previous password will become invalid, preserving your site's security.

I didn't receive a password reset email

After you follow the steps to reset your password, we'll send you a password reset link using the email address you used to create your account.

If you didn't receive this email:

  1. Check your email's Spam or Junk folder.
  2. Add no-reply@squarespace.com to your email account's whitelist.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, you may have entered the wrong email address when you created your site. This is usually the result of a spelling mistake or typo. If you think this is the case, follow these steps.

I forgot my email address and see an "The email address was not found" error

If you're receiving an "Invalid email address" error when attempting to log in, check the email address box on the login screen for any typos. Then try any other email address you may have used to create your account.

The site is displaying a lock icon

If you're seeing a grey screen with a password field and a lock icon, the page is hidden behind a page or site-wide password.

To log into your site, open the login page at https://site-name.squarespace.com/config, replacing site-name with your site title.

Then visit these guides for help removing a site or page-password.
