Adding an external link to your navigation

When building your site navigation, use the Link option in the New Page menu to link to an external site. You can also use this option to link to your own site content and files.

Tip: To add links to pages on your own site, add the pages to your navigation areas.

Link to a different site

To link to an external URL:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Pages.
  2. Click the + icon next to Main Navigation (or another section).
  3. Select Link from the New Page menu.
  4. Ensure External is selected.
  5. In the Link Title box, enter the name of the link as you want it to appear in the menu.
  6. Click Click to add URL
  7. Enter the URL for the link. For more detailed steps on setting up the link, visit Adding links to your site.
  8. To have the link open in a new browser tab, rather than directing visitors away from your site, click Open in new window.
  9. Click Save

Link to your own site content and files

You can create other types of links using the Content and Files tabs in the link editor.

Remove the link

To remove the link from Main Navigation:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Pages.
  2. Find the link in the Pages panel.
  3. Hover over the link title in the panel, and click the trash can icon.
  4. Click Confirm in the message that appears.
