Use the Squarespace App to accept payments for your products and services in person with Tap to Pay, Pay Links and the Square Reader.

If you sell products or services in person in the United States, you can use the Squarespace app as a point of sale (or POS) system to accept payments using Tap to Pay, Pay Links, or a Square Reader.

When you use Tap to Pay, or the Square reader, your product inventory automatically updates after every sale. Pay Links, however, require you to manually update stock levels for physical products after the transaction is complete.

Accept Tap to Pay

With Tap to Pay, you can accept tapped credit cards, debit cards, and Near Field Communication (NFC) enabled devices (like Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay) directly on your device without the need for a separate card reader. Both Tap to Pay on iPhone and Tap to Pay on Android are available to use in the United States.

Send Pay Links

Send Pay Links to your customers so they can pay for single products and services, and add tips, without having to navigate a full online store checkout. Each Pay Link is a unique checkout URL that can be instantly shared via email, text, social media, or displayed as a scannable QR code.

Pay Links can be set up to accept a fixed amount for a specific item or service, or a flexible amount for tips and donations. When you use a Pay Link to sell a physical item, you can track the transaction in the Orders panel. Pay Links don’t directly integrate with, or track product inventory, so you need to manually update your inventory after the sale.

For managing complex projects, recurring payments, or structured invoicing, use invoices instead.

Use a Square Reader

If a customer requires a payment method that involves contact with physical cards, you can use the Squarespace POS with a supported Square Reader. The Square Reader integration is only available in the United States. The Square Reader POS system processes transactions linked to a Squarespace store. You can't use the Square Register, Stand, or Terminal, with the Squarespace App.
