Changing blog post publication dates

Follow this guide to change the publication date of a blog post. These steps help you reorder posts on a Blog Page, because blog posts appear in reverse-chronological order by publication date.

Change the date of a published post

To change the date of a post you already published:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Pages.
  2. Click the Blog Page containing the post.
  3. Hover over the blog post you'd like to change and click Edit.
  4. If your site is on version 7.1, click the-gear-icon in the top-right corner.
  5. In the post editor, click the date below Published.
  6. Select a new date and time from the calendar.
  7. Click Save or Apply. You'll now see the post's new publication date on your Blog Page. 

Change the date before publishing

How you change the date before you publish the post depends on your site's version

  1. In the top-right corner, click the-gear-icon to open the post settings.
  2. Click Draft.
  3. Select Published.
  4. Click the current publication date below Published.
  5. Select a new date and time.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Hover over Done and click Save.

Your blog post will publish immediately when you click Apply. If you hover over Done and click Discard Changes, it will revert to a draft.

  1. In the post settings, click Draft
  2. Select Published.
  3. Click the current publication date below Published.  
  4. Select a new date and time. 
  5. Click Save & Publish

Your blog post will only publish after you click Save & Publish, even if you select an earlier publication date or time.
