You can encourage customers to subscribe to a newsletter at checkout by integrating a MailChimp account with your site. This adds a Join our mailing list checkbox below the email field on your checkout page.
The subscribe option is great way to build your mailing list, increase customer loyalty, and encourage repeat purchases.
Step 1 - Create a list
To start, you'll need to add a new, empty list in MailChimp. This lets MailChimp store subscribers' information and save it specifically for this mailing list.
In your MailChimp account, create a list.

Step 2 - Connect your MailChimp account
In the Home Menu, click Settings, and then click Checkout.
Scroll down to Newsletter and click Mailchimp.
Log in using your MailChimp username and password.
Select a subscriber list from the drop-down menu.
Step 3 - Enable or disable automatic opt-ins
By default, customers will automatically opt into your newsletter at checkout. To disable automatic opt-ins, uncheck Enable mailing list opt-in by default to have this unchecked for your customers by default.

Step 4 - Save
When you're finished, click Save.
Your customers will now see a Join our mailing list checkbox below the email field on the checkout page.
