Building a site or page for your link in bio

Create a Bio Site, page, or website to provide more information about yourself to your social media followers.

Last updated March 1, 2023

You can add a link to your profile or bio on most social media platforms as a way to provide more information about yourself or your business. Using Squarespace, there are several ways to create a single page linking to everything you want your followers to know.

Use Unfold to create a new Bio Site

If you don't need a full website, consider using Unfold, our mobile app for creating standout social media content. With Unfold, you can create and publish a hub page of links called a Bio Site that's perfect for linking in social media bios.

To get started with Unfold, visit our Bio Site sign up page or download the app for free here:

If you already have a site and want your bio link to direct visitors there, you can create an unlinked page that acts as a hub for all of your links.

To build this page:

  1. Create a blank layout page in your site's Not linked section. This keeps your bio link page out of your site's navigation.
  2. Add photos of yourself, your business, or your products in an image block. You can add text to the image using captions, a title, or by adding a text block to the same section.
  3. Add button blocks and a social links block to the page that link to things like other social media accounts and online content you want followers to know about.
  4. Change the page's style to match your social branding.
  5. Change the page's URL slug to reflect the content (ex: /link-in-bio, /social-links).
  6. Link to this page directly from your social media bios.

Tip

If you're using Squarespace version 7.0, you can also use a cover page to display links and content without showing a site-wide header.
