Last updated March 3, 2025

Squarespace Circle is a partner program for creative professionals. It's free and open to all customers who register. After you become a partner, you'll be assigned to one of three statuses, depending on your work completed on the platform:

  • Circle Silver Partner
  • Circle Gold Partner
  • Circle Platinum Partner

In this guide, learn about the different statuses and how to unlock more benefits to get the most out of your Circle membership.

Note

Current Circle members who joined before March 3, 2025 will receive Circle Gold status through the end of 2025, unless they earned enough points based on their 2024 activity to qualify for Circle Platinum status.

Membership status

We use a points system to determine your Circle membership status. Your status reflects your current subscription activity with Squarespace and your engagement with the Circle community, and your status can change over time. To check your current status, log in to your Circle dashboard and view your status in the top-left.

Change your membership status

When you become a Circle member, you're automatically assigned to a status depending on your subscription activity up to that point.

If you earn more points throughout the year, you may become eligible for a different status. After meeting the points requirement, you'll automatically receive your new status and can start accessing those perks and benefits.

You'll remain in your current status for at least one full term, which includes the rest of the year in which you earn enough points to qualify for a new status, plus the following calendar year. Every January 1, however, your total points will reset to zero to reward points for new subscriptions and Squarespace activity throughout the year. You'll still enjoy the status you earned in the previous year through the end of the term.

At the end of the term, if you've maintained or exceeded the number of points necessary to meet Gold or Platinum status, you'll remain a Gold or Platinum Partner in the calendar year immediately following.

If you don't maintain enough points, your status will update at the start of the new calendar year immediately following to Silver or Gold, respectively.

Note

It can take up to 72 hours for your status to update in your account.

Review the section below for examples of how your status can change over time.

Example situations

Review some common situations that might occur to your status.

What happens if…
A Circle Gold Partner doesn't have enough points to maintain Gold status at the end of their term?
  • In March 2025, a new member joins as a Circle Gold Partner with 1000 points.
  • On January 1, 2026, the Circle member's points reset to 0, though they will remain a Circle Gold Partner through the end of 2026.
  • As of December 31, 2026, they have 900 points. Therefore, they don't meet the points requirement to remain a Circle Gold Partner, so on January 1, 2027 they'll change to Silver status.
A Circle Silver Partner earns enough points to unlock Circle Gold status?
  • In March 2025, a new member joins as a Circle Silver Partner with 0 points.
  • By December 2025, they've started multiple subscriptions and have been added as an admin to their clients' accounts. They now have 1000 total points. They've unlocked Circle Gold status and can enjoy those perks and benefits through the end of 2026.
  • Their total points still revert to 0 on January 1, 2026 though they will remain a Circle Gold Partner through the end of 2026. They will need to earn 1000 points or more in 2026 to maintain Circle Gold status in 2027.
