Build a digital product sign-up page

Create a page to sell your digital products to customers using digital product blocks.

Last updated August 13, 2024

A sign-up page is a place on your site that lists all of your pricing plans and the digital products they include. Your visitors can compare plans and options, and purchase the one they want all in one spot. This is a great way to encourage sales of your digital products and maintain passive income from your site.

To create a sign-up page, add one digital product block for each pricing plan you offer to a page on your site.

To sell pricing plans you need an active billing plan that includes digital products.

How visitors sign up

Visitors can only purchase your digital products through digital product blocks and sign-up buttons on your paywall. To encourage visitors to review all of your options, we recommend building a sign-up page. It’s important that this is a public page on your site.

Add a sign-up page

You can add digital product blocks to any page layout, but we have a few layouts that are specifically designed to promote digital products.

To create a standalone sign-up page:

  1. Open the Pages panel
  2. In the Main navigation section, click +.
  3. Under Pages, click Page layouts, then click Digital products, and choose a layout.
  4. Enter a page title, then press Enter to save.
  5. Click Edit in the top-left corner of the page.
  6. Hover over a Digital product block and click the pencil icon. In the Content tab, select the pricing plan you want to display. You can edit the block’s style in the Design tab.
  7. Edit the digital product blocks until all of your pricing plans are displayed. You can add or remove digital product blocks to match the number of pricing plans you offer.
  8. When you’re done editing the page, click Save and then Exit to close the editor.

Tip

We recommend naming your pricing page something that’s a call to action. This engages visitors and indicates the page’s purpose. For example, titles like “Enroll now,” “Join here,” and “Sign up” all work well and encourage sales.

Other sign-up options

Instead of creating a new page on your site, try one of the following options:

  • Digital product blocks - Edit any page section on your site to add a digital product block. If you have multiple pricing plans, create one block for each pricing plan.
  • Page sections - Add a new section to an existing page on your site. Select one of the Digital products section layouts, or add a blank section to make it your own.
  • Paywall sign-up buttons - Customize the paywall for your course page, blog page, videos page, or member site to show the related pricing plans.

Pricing plan tips

Each Digital product block displays a single pricing plan. The information in the block is based on what you entered when you created the pricing plan. You can edit a pricing plan’s details to encourage visitors to sign-up.

Consider these tips when reviewing your pricing plans:

  • Name each pricing plan something distinct to help customers differentiate your plans.
  • Place digital product blocks near each other that include pricing plans with similar products. This visually links the two and helps customers compare them.
  • Use the Benefits included section of the Pricing plan to list terms and guarantees.

Promoting your digital products

You can encourage visitors to sign up for your digital products by promoting them on your site and on social media.

On your site:

  • Keep in mind that you can add a digital product block to any layout page or page section.
  • Include digital product blocks in blog posts and other content areas.
  • Send messages that link to your sign-up page using Email Campaigns.

Tip

Edit the text on your paywall to link to the sign-up page to help your visitors review all of their options.

On social media:

  • Add a link to your sign-up page to your profile.
  • Write posts about your digital products.
  • Collaborate with other content creators to cross-post on each other’s accounts.
  • Create a Bio Site with Unfold that matches your site and use it to link to your sign-up page.
