Facebook, Pinterest, and StumbleUpon display
Note the exceptions with these services:
- Facebook - In templates that use Share links, the Facebook option displays as a Like icon. Clicking this button won’t post content directly to visitors’ Facebook timelines, but the content may appear in their friends’ News Feeds, depending on their individual settings and Facebook’s algorithms.
- Pinterest - The sharing option only appears for blog posts, products, or Album Pages with thumbnail images because Pinterest pulls the thumbnail as the image to pin.
- StumbleUpon - The sharing option doesn’t display if you’re logged in, but it always displays to your visitors. The StumbleUpon Share button might load slowly if SSL is enabled.
Next steps
You may want to connect your site to social media in other ways:

- Add blocks that embed your Tweets, Instagram photos, and other social content on a page or blog post.
- Learn more about how Squarespace connects to social media in our Connected Accounts guides.
