Changing your store's currency

After connecting a payment processor to your Squarespace site, your store will automatically update to display the currency associated with your payment processor, if that currency is supported by Squarespace. You can only choose one currency for your store. Your store's currency also applies to donation blocks.

If your country supports multiple currencies, we recommend choosing the currency used by the bank account connected to your payment processor. Funds in that currency will go to that account with no conversion fee.

It's not possible to change your store's currency after selling a gift card.

Available currencies

The available currencies depend on the bank account connected to your Stripe account or the primacy currency set in your PayPal Business account.

If you’ve connected both Stripe and PayPal, a currency must be supported by both the bank account connected to your Stripe account and by PayPal to display in the drop-down menu. To learn more, visit Supported countries and currencies for Squarespace Commerce.

Change your currency

To change your store's currency:

  1. If you haven't already, connect a payment processor. You can connect a Stripe account, a PayPal Business account, or both.
  2. In the Home menu, click Commerce, and then click Payments.
  3. Click Store Currency.
  4. Select an available currency from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click Save.

Squarespace supports these currencies at this time. To show pricing in multiple currencies, add lists to product additional information.

Tip: If you're not seeing all available currencies, disconnect and reconnect your Stripe or PayPal account in the Payment Options panel.
