Selecting your store's currency

After connecting a payment processor to your Squarespace site, your store will automatically update to display the currency associated with your payment processor, if that currency is supported by Squarespace.

You can select a different currency using the steps in this guide.

Note: The available currencies depend on the bank account connected to your Stripe account or the primacy currency set in your PayPal Business account. To learn more, visit Supported countries and currencies for Squarespace Commerce.

Before you begin

  • Squarespace supports these currencies at this time.
  • You can only select one currency for your store. To show pricing in multiple currencies, add lists to product additional information.
  • If you’ve connected both Stripe and PayPal, the bank account connected to your Stripe account determines the available currencies.
  • If your country supports multiple currencies, we recommend selecting the currency used by the bank account connected to your payment processor. Funds in that currency will go to that account with no conversion fee.

Step 1 - Connect a payment processor

To change the currency of your Squarespace site, first connect a payment processor.

You can connect a Stripe account, a PayPal Business account, or both.

Step 2 - Change the currency

After connecting your payment processor(s), in the Home Menu, click Commerce, and then click Payments.


Click Store Currency.


Select an available currency from the drop-down menu. Then click Save.

Tip: If you're not seeing all available currencies, disconnect and reconnect your Stripe or PayPal account in the Payment Options panel.
