Using Squarespace Logo

You can use Squarespace Logo to create a logo for your site or business.

Pricing and eligibility

  • Paid Squarespace accounts - If you have a paid, active Squarespace site, you can download high-resolution logos for free. Note that Squarespace 5 customers aren't eligible.
  • Trial accounts (and anyone else) - If you don't have a paid Squarespace account, you can download low-resolution, watermarked logos for free. High resolution images are available for $10.
Note: If you don't have a paid Squarespace account, editing and saving a purchased, high resolution logo requires you to purchase the new version for $10.

Step 1 - Set your logo name

Go to the Squarespace Logo page, then enter the text you'd like to appear in the logo in the Logo Name box. This is typically your name or your business name.

Click the arrow to continue.

Step 2 - Add a tag line (optional)

You can enter a tag line in the box on the top-left corner of the page. This is a short phrase used to describe your business. 

Step 3 - Select an icon (optional)

Squarespace has partnered with the Noun Project to provide a searchable database of icons and images. Click Search to find an icon to accompany your logo name and tag line. 

Step 4 - Edit your logo

You can select any aspect of the logo on the grid and edit the available options.

Icon

When clicking the icon, you can adjust the fill color using either a color chart or a hexadecimal number.

Name and tag line

When clicking on the name and tag line, you can adjust the Font Family, Font Color, Font Weight, and Font Style.

Step 5 - Adjust the layout and alignment

Press and hold the Shift key and click multiple parts of your logo to see options for adjusting the layout and alignment of your logo.

Use the Layout options to change the placement of your name and tag line in relation to the icon.

Use the Alignment options to change the placement of the logo name and tag line in relation to each other.

Step 6 - Click and drag elements (optional)

You can also click and drag any part of the logo to move it. To change the structure of the grid, hover over the cog icon in the top-left corner of the grid.

Check Snap to Grid to automatically align elements to the dots on the grid when you move them.

Grid Size sets how large or small the grid is.

Step 7 - Save and download

Once you've finished designing your logo, click Save Logo.

You'll be prompted to download your logo.

  • Paid Squarespace accounts - If you have a paid, active Squarespace site, you can download high resolution logo images for free. Note that Squarespace 5 customers aren't eligible.
  • Trial accounts (and anyone else) - If you don't have a paid Squarespace account, you can download a low resolution, watermarked logo image for free. High resolution images are available for $10.

Low resolution

Click Download Low Res to download a low resolution, watermarked version of your image (.png, 400 × 400). 

Note: You can download an unlimited amount of low resolution logos.

High resolution

Click Download High Res to download a high resolution, watermark-free version of your image.

If you're not a Squarespace customer, enter your billing information, and then click Buy for $10.

If you're an existing Squarespace customer, check I'm an existing Squarespace customer and enter your login information. Then click Download for Free to download the logo.

Download any image version:

  • Color (.png)
  • White on Black (.png)
  • Black on White (.png)

You can also set the size of your image by clicking Up to 2000px in the bottom-right corner. This sets the width for landscape logos and height for portrait logos.

Note: Images may download differently depending on your browser and its settings. Some browsers will save it to your default downloads location, others will first open it in a new browser tab/window, and then you'll need to manually save it.

Check your email

You'll receive an email from Squarespace with the subject line "Your New Logo is Ready." The email includes a permanent link so you can return to your logo, edit it, and download it any time.
