Adding notes to orders

Create a private note to remember important details orders and customer interactions.

You can add internal notes to orders to record additional information, shipping instructions, reminders, and more. This guide covers how to add notes to an order you've received.

Before you begin

  • Notes are private and only visible to site owners, Administrators, and Store Managers. They aren't included in printed orders or email notifications.
  • After a note is saved, it can't be edited.

Add a note

Saved notes display the date, time, and the contributor who wrote the note. To add a note:

  1. Open the Products & Services panel and click Orders.
  2. Click any order to open it.
  3. In the order details, click the Notes tab.
  4. Enter your note in the field.
  5. Click Save.
  1. Tap Orders.
  2. Tap any order to open it.
  3. In the order details, tap Internal Notes at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Tap the Add Note or + at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Enter your note.
  6. Tap Save or to save and return to the order details.

Permanently delete a note

  1. In the Note tab of the order details, hover over the note.
  2. Click the Trash can icon.
  1. In the order details, tap Seller notes, then tap Edit.
  2. Tap the delete symbol next to the note you want to delete, then tap Delete.
  3. Tap Yes to confirm.
  1. In the order details, tap Internal Notes, then swipe left on the note you want to delete.
  2. Tap Delete to confirm.
