Adding notes to orders

You can add internal notes to orders to record additional information, shipping instructions, reminders, and more. This guide covers how to add notes to an order you've received.

Before you begin

  • Notes are private and only visible to the site owners, Administrators, and Store Managers. They aren't included on printed orders or email notifications.
  • After a note is saved, it can't be edited.

Add a note

Saved notes display the date, time, and the contributor who wrote the note. To add a note:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Commerce, then click Orders. You can also press ? while any panel is open and search orders.
  2. Click any order to open it.
  3. In the order summary, click the Internal Notes tab.
  4. Enter your note in the field.
  5. Click Save.

  3. In the order details, tap Internal Notes at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Tap the Add Note at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Enter your note.
  6. Tap Save to save and return to the order details

  4. Tap the + in the top-right corner.
  5. Enter your note.
  6. Tap the to save and return to the order details.

Permanently delete a note

  1. In the Internal Notes tab of the order summary, hover over the note.
  2. Click Delete.
  1. In Internal Notes of the order summary, tap Edit.
  2. Tap the delete symbol next to the note you want to delete, then tap Delete.
  3. Tap Yes to confirm.
  1. In Internal Notes of the order summary, swipe left on the note you want to delete.
  2. Tap Delete to confirm.
