Promote Shopify products on your site

You can promote Shopify products on your site by adding links to direct customers to your Shopify store or by adding Shopify buy buttons using custom code.

Add links

There are several built-in ways to link visitors to your Shopify store. For example, you can add:

• Navigation links to link directly from your navigation menu.
• Text links to pages, sections, blog posts, or your product’s additional information tab.
• Button blocks that link to your Shopify store or specific items.
• Clickthrough URLs to turn your images into links. This is a great way to direct visitors to your Shopify store when they click an image.

Add Shopify buy buttons

Some merchants customize their site to add Shopify buy buttons to individual products on their site using custom code. While we don’t have a built-in option to add buy buttons, this topic has come up in our Squarespace Forum. To learn more, visit this post in the Squarespace Forum. Keep in mind, custom code modifications fall outside the scope of our support. This means we’re unable to help you set up or troubleshoot code-based solutions.

Domains and Squarespace

We have several ways you can use your domain with your Shopify store and Squarespace site.

• If you bought your domain from Squarespace and you’d like it to direct to your Shopify store, you can point or forward your domain. To learn the difference between pointing and forwarding, visit Moving domains overview.
• If you’d like Squarespace to host your domain, transfer your Shopify domain to Squarespace. This way, if Squarespace hosts your domain and website, you can manage your billing all in one place.
• Connect a Shopify domain to your Squarespace site so when visitors enter your domain in their browser, they’re directed to your Squarespace site.
