US sales tax locations and exemption information

We determine your tax location by the billing address entered with your payment method information. If you've received an email about a sales tax charge, review your billing information to ensure that it's correct.

Below is a list of cities and states where we apply taxes to applicable subscriptions. If your business is exempt from US sales tax, and your site is active on a billing plan, submit an exemption request here. You'll need to attach the appropriate sales tax exemption forms for your location and business.

Tip: If you're submitting an exemption request for multiple sites, you don't need to submit a request for each site. You can list all the sites in the same request.

After our billing specialists review your information, we’ll respond to your exemption request. We can’t apply tax exemptions to trial or expired sites.

If you change your billing information in the future, you’ll need to submit another exemption request.
