Monitor your domains’ expiration dates, DNS settings, and registration status.

If you manage ten, twenty, or fifty domains, use your domains dashboard to quickly identify which domains need your attention. Your dashboard also makes it easy to manage your domain settings, billing, and permissions in one place.

Note: For most changes, you need to update each domain individually. You can’t select multiple domains and apply a bulk change, like updating nameservers or toggling auto-renew.

Find and filter your domains

Your domains dashboard lists every domain in your Squarespace account. Use the sort and filter tools at the top of your dashboard to find what you need fast.

• Sort your domains - Click the sort option at the top of your dashboard. You can sort alphabetically, by provider, by status, or by expiration date.
• Filter your domains - Click Filter. You can narrow your list by TLD (.com, .org, .net, etc), status, provider, expiration date, or privacy settings. To clear a filter, click X or Reset on the filter tab.
• Find a specific domain - Use the search bar at the top of your dashboard.

Track renewals and expirations

To avoid losing a domain because of a missed payment, keep track of upcoming expiration dates and renewals:

• Check expiration dates - Sort your dashboard by expiration date to find domains that are about to expire. Consider doing this at the start of each month so you’re aware of all upcoming auto-renewals or potential failed renewal payments.
• Ensure auto-renew is on - Reduce the risk of accidental expiration by checking the auto-renew toggle on each domain's details page. Keep in mind that we automatically enable auto-renew and it’s a per-domain setting.
• Understand the grace period - If a domain expires, you may still be able to reactivate it. If the domain enters the redemption period, additional fees apply.

Review changes in the activity log

If you're managing a large portfolio, especially with multiple contributors, use the activity log to see exactly what's changed and when. Each domain has its own log that records up to 90 days of changes, including DNS updates, nameserver changes, forwarding edits, and permission changes.

How can I manage individual domains in my portfolio?

You manage each domain individually and can customize their settings to fit your business needs:

• Park a domain - A parked domain is one you’ve registered but isn't connected to a website or forwarded anywhere. A default placeholder page appears when visiting it.
• Set up DNS records - Add or edit DNS records to point your domain to a third-party service, like email providers, hosting platforms, or external tools. Save time by using our preset DNS configurations.
• Forward a domain - Redirect visitors from one domain to a URL of your choice. This is useful for domains you're holding, alternate spellings, or additional TLDs that should point to a primary domain.
• Point a domain - To redirect visitors to a different site but still have the original URL appear, use your Squarespace domain’s DNS settings panel to point your domain.
• Create subdomains - Add subdomains like blog.yourdomain.com or shop.yourdomain.com from the domain details page.
• Transfer a domain out - To move a domain to another registrar, you can initiate a transfer from the domain details page. We’ll send a transfer authorization code to the domain owner.
• Connect to a Squarespace site - If you have a Squarespace site, and want to keep the billing information of the domain separate, connect the domain to the site.
• Move to a different Squarespace site - If you have multiple Squarespace sites, for different brands or projects, you can move a domain between them. The domain shares billing information with the new site.

Give others permission to access your domain

If you have a team helping you manage your portfolio, you can invite contributors without giving them full account access. Keep in mind permissions are set per domain. Adding a contributor to one domain doesn't affect others in your portfolio, even if they're grouped for billing.

There are two permission levels:

• Domain owner - Full access, including billing, auto-renew, and the ability to add or remove contributors.
• Domain manager - Can manage domain settings and DNS, add or remove other contributors, connect a domain to a site, and start a transfer, but can't access billing or disable auto-renew.

Transfer ownership of your domain

To hand off a domain to someone else, you can transfer ownership to one of your domain managers. After you change ownership, the previous owner loses access.

Group domains for simplified billing

To simplify renewing multiple Squarespace domains across a large portfolio, you can group them so they share a single payment method. If you update the payment method information on one domain, it'll update the payment method for all grouped domains.

Update and protect your domain registration data

When you register a domain with, or transfer a domain to Squarespace you need to provide domain contact information, also known as registration data. Ensure you keep this information up to date, because you’ll occasionally receive emails about your domain status to the registrant email address you provide.

We record your registration data in the public Whois database. For most TLDs, we keep your information hidden by replacing your personal details with Squarespace's contact information in public lookups.

Identify your registrar

If you migrated from Google Domains or transferred domains from another registrar, you may want to confirm who your registrar of record is for a given domain. This matters when initiating transfers or managing registrar-specific settings.
