Use Legal Assistant to automatically generate compliance pages tailored to your site to your business practices and location.

If your site is on version 7.1 and based in the UK, Switzerland, or the European Economic Area (EEA), you can use Legal Assistant to add policies and terms to your site. For privacy policies, the tool uses a step-by-step questionnaire to automatically generate custom text.

Note: Legal Assistant generates template policy text based on information you provide. It doesn’t constitute legal advice. Review and edit all generated text to ensure it accurately aligns with your business practices and local regulations.

Add a Legal page 

When you create a Legal page, the Legal Assistant reviews your site, then recommends pre-built layouts for the specific policies your business may need. Some pages are recommended by default. 

To add a Legal page: 

1. Open the Pages panel and click the + icon. 
2. Click Legal. 
3. Review your recommended pages. You can select individual pages or click All.
4. Select the policy layout you want to use. You can change the layout later. 
5. Enter a page title and press Enter.

Generate privacy policy text

If you create an imprint page, it will include standard placeholder text that you can edit manually. If you create a privacy policy page, you can answer a questionnaire to automatically generate text tailored to your site.

Disclose use of external tracking tools 

If you manually added external tracking tools (like Meta Pixel or custom Google Analytics scripts) through code injection, you’ll need to manually edit your final policy text to disclose those specific third-party providers. Ensure your cookie banner settings match the disclosures you make here.
