Translate your scheduler

Scheduling can translate your scheduler to Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, or Spanish. You can translate your scheduler into another language yourself using the change scheduling wording tool.

We've merged the Acuity Scheduling Help Center with the Squarespace Help Center. This guide applies to both versions of Scheduling.

Automatically translate your scheduler

To have Scheduling translate your scheduler:

  1. In Scheduling, click Customize Appearance.
  2. Use the Language dropdown menu to choose a language.
  3. Click Save Changes.

Tip: This setting won’t translate the automated emails Scheduling sends, but you can reword your email templates.

Manually translate the scheduler

You can also translate the scheduler yourself. If you do, here are some steps you should consider:

  1. Use the change scheduling wording tool to translate the wording on the scheduler. 
  2. To change months, dates and times to another language, contact Customer Support and let us know which language you’d like to use for months, dates, and times.
  3. To switch to a 24-hour time format:
    1. In Scheduling, click Customize Appearance.
    2. Use the Time Format dropdown menu to choose 24 hour.
    3. Click Save Changes.
  4. You may want to change your currency
  5. You can customize your email templates to include content you’ve written in your chosen language. 

Translating units of time

“Hours” and “minutes” can’t be translated. Instead, hide the automatically displayed durations and add translated durations to your appointment type descriptions.

First, hide durations:

  1. In Scheduling, click Customize Appearance, then Scheduling Page Options.
  2. Check the box for Hide Durations.
  3. Click Save Changes.

Then, edit your appointment descriptions to include translated durations.

  1. In Scheduling, click Appointment Types.
  2. Click Edit next to an appointment type.
  3. In the Description field, type in the translated duration.
  4. Click Update Appointment Type.
  5. Repeat steps 2 - 4 until all appointment types are updated.
Tip: You can manually translate your scheduler to be multilingual. Instead of changing words from one language to another, include translations to two languages. For example, you might translate the Complete Appointment button to Reservar cita|Complete appointment.
