This guide answers common questions about getting started with Squarespace Scheduling, including how to customize your schedule and how clients book appointments with you.
What is Scheduling?
Squarespace Scheduling is an online appointment-booking tool. To learn more, visit Getting started with Squarespace Scheduling.
Is this the same as Acuity Scheduling?
It's an integrated version of Acuity Scheduling. Scheduling is an Acuity product designed for Squarespace. Scheduling and Acuity share nearly all of their features, but Scheduling is built into your Squarespace account. You can read about the few features that are different in this guide.
Acuity is still available as a standalone product, and we plan to build deeper integrations between our platforms in the future.
Should I use Acuity or Squarespace Scheduling?
It depends on your business needs and if you're currently a customer of either platform:
- If you have a Squarespace site and don't have an Acuity account, use Squarespace Scheduling for integrated online booking with your site.
- If you already have an Acuity Scheduling account from acuityscheduling.com, continue using the scheduling block with your existing Direct Scheduling Link.
- You can use Acuity Scheduling or Scheduling without a Squarespace website.
Can I transfer an Acuity account to Squarespace Scheduling?
You can embed an Acuity scheduler on a Squarespace website using a scheduling block, but you can't convert an Acuity account to a Scheduling subscription.

If you don't select a plan, your Scheduling subscription will be cancelled. Everything you've done will be saved, but you'll need to purchase a plan for clients to continue booking appointments.

How do I cancel my Scheduling trial?
If you started with a website, then added Scheduling:
To stop using your Scheduling trial, let it expire. It's not possible to cancel a Scheduling trial. You're not charged for Scheduling unless you upgrade to a paid subscription.
If you created Scheduling as a standalone, without adding it to a website:

While you can add Scheduling again in the future, you will not be able to recover the information and settings from your deleted Scheduling trial.
