If you offer local delivery through a courier service, add a custom checkout form to gather important delivery instructions from your customers. For example, you can ask customers where they'd like you to leave the item on their property.

Tip:The same custom checkout form shows for all shipping options you offer, so keep this in mind if you also ship orders.

Add delivery instructions to checkout

1. Create a custom checkout form.
2. Name the form Delivery Instructions.
3. Add form fields for all of the delivery information you need. For example, you can use the Date and Phone fields to collect information about delivery windows and how to get in touch with the customer if needed.
4. Click Save.

How do customers enter delivery instructions?

After you’ve set up your form, customers submit delivery instructions on your store’s checkout page.
