Editing pages in the Squarespace App

Editing pages in the Squarespace App is a similar experience to editing pages on a desktop, but the app focuses on the most essential tasks. This guide reviews how to edit a page in the app and the features available for each page type. For more detailed changes, we recommend using Squarespace on a desktop.

It's not currently possible to access version 7.1 sites in the Squarespace App.

Add blocks

You can add blocks to blank Layout Pages and blog posts in the Squarespace App.

  1. Tap the Pages icon.
  2. Tap the page you’d like to edit. If you're editing a Blog Page, tap a post, or create a new one.
  3. Tap Edit or the pencil icon in the top-right corner.
  4. Tap anywhere on the page to edit what's on the page.
  5. Tap + to add a block. The app includes the most popular blocks. For other blocks you want to add, use Squarespace on a desktop.
  6. Tap the ... or the-gear-icon to edit page settings like the title, description, URL slug, and thumbnail image.
  7. When you’re done, tap Done or in the top-left corner to save your changes.

To preview a recently edited page:

  • On an iPad, tap the fullscreen icon to hide the menu and expand the preview page.
  • To preview or edit the desktop version of a page, tap Edit or the pencil icon, then tap the desktop icon in the top right corner. Tap the content to edit in desktop view. Tap the icon again to return to mobile view.
