Flatiron troubleshooting

This guide covers how to troubleshoot some of the most common issues that arise when using the Flatiron template.

The mobile menu isn't appearing on my website

If your link color is the same as your background color, the mobile menu link won't be visible. To fix this:

  1. From the Home Menu, click Design, then Style Editor.
  2. In the General section, check the Background Color.
  3. Scroll down to the Main Content section, and ensure the Link Color is a different color than the background color.

My gallery description scrolls up with the page

If the page title and description content is shorter than the browser window when the pages loads, it stays fixed in place as visitors scroll. If it's taller than the browser, it scrolls up with the page.

To reduce the chances of the description scrolling, you can expand the width of the description text:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Design, then Style Editor.
  2. Scroll down to Gallery Styles.
  3. Adjust its width with the Project Meta Width tweak.

You can also reduce the length of your description:

  1. From the Home Menu, click Pages.
  2. Hover over the page and click the icon.
  3. Reduce the text in the Description field, then click Save.

Why are my Index images out of order?

In most cases, your Index Page thumbnails display in the same order as they do in the Pages panel. However, when the thumbnails are set to their original aspect ratio (when the Project Squares tweak is unchecked in the Style Editor), they may appear in a different order from how they've been arranged in the panel to fit on the page.

To make the aspect ratio the same for all thumbnails:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Design, then Style Editor.
  2. Scroll down to Gallery Styles.
  3. Check Project Squares.
