How it works

The Note App is a minimalist way to take notes and send them to other services. You don’t need a Squarespace account to use the app.

The app is a great way to:

  • Write a reminder for yourself and send it to your email
  • Compose a blog post and publish it on your Squarespace Blog Page, or save it as a draft for later.
  • Send a note to a shared Evernote notebook, Dropbox folder, or Google Drive for collaborators to review.

FAQ

Can I use the app without an internet connection?

Yes. You can compose notes without an internet connection and they’ll automatically send to your selected services when you’re connected again. While offline, when you release your note to send, the app will say “queued” instead of “sending.”

Queued notes aren’t visible in the app until after they’re sent.

Can I attach a video to a note?

No. Notes only support a single image per note.

Can I send notes to more than one blog or site?

No. The app only supports publishing to one Squarespace Blog Page per note.

You can, however, send notes to multiple email addresses.

Can I change the file format for Dropbox or Google Drive?

No. Notes send to Dropbox and Google Drive will only appear as .txt files.

For notes sent to Google Drive, you can open the .txt file from your Google Drive folder, then click Open in Google Docs. From there, you can edit and save the file as a standard Google Doc.

Why didn’t I receive a sent note?

If you didn't get a note, confirm that the app is connected to internet. If not, your note will send when you reconnect.

If you’re still having trouble, review your connected services and ensure that they’re configured to receive notes.
