Moving pages around your navigation

To organize your site's navigation menus, drag and drop pages around the Pages panel. This guide shows you how to reorder pages, move pages between navigation sections, and add pages to Index Pages and folders.

Reorder your navigation menu

In most templates, the page order in your Pages panel determines the order of your site's navigation. To reorder your navigation links:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Pages.
  2. Click and drag a page you want to move.
  3. Release the page when it's in the desired position.
  4. Refresh your browser, and you'll see the change appear in your navigation menu.

Move a page between navigation sections

Many templates include multiple navigation menus, like Secondary or Footer Navigation. To move a page between navigation sections, click and drag the page to the new section.

Remove a page from navigation (move it to Not Linked)

Pages in the Not Linked section don't appear in your site's navigation, but are still indexed by search engines and accessible if visitors have the URL. You can also direct visitors to not-linked pages by creating your own links within the body of your site. To learn more about ways to use your Not Linked section, visit Understanding the pages panel.

To move a page to Not Linked, click and drag the page to the Not Linked section, then release it.

Move a page to an Index or folder

Index Pages and folders are special sections that contain other pages. Click and drag a page to the indented area below an Index or Folder to add it to the collection.

Note: Depending on your template, you might not be able to move certain pages to an Index. To learn more, see the Supported pages column in the Index page feature comparison. For more help with Index Pages and folders, visit Using the Index Page and Using folders.
