Reusing Getty Images

Licensing a Getty Image through Squarespace lets you use images throughout your site. If you want to use Getty Images for content beyond your site, you can purchase additional licenses for your image.

Add a licensed image

You can use licensed images in most areas where images are supported on your site, including:

  • Image Blocks
  • Gallery Blocks
  • Gallery Pages
  • Page Thumbnail Images
  • Cover Pages that support imagery
  • Mobile Fallback Images for background videos
  • Banner or background images in the Style Editor

To reuse a licensed image:

  1. Follow these steps to open Getty Images in an image uploader.
  2. Once on the Getty Images search page, click Library.
  3. Select the image you want to add, then click Preview on Site.

Since the image is already licensed, the high-resolution version of the image will display on your site.

Purchase additional licensing

Getty Image purchases through Squarespace are only licensed for use on your site. You can license additional sizes and resolutions for print, social media, or commercials.

To purchase additional licensing:

  1. Follow these steps to open Getty Images in an image uploader.
  2. Once on the Getty Images search page, click Library.
  3. Select the image you want to license further, then click View License.

The image's licensing page will open in a new tab. Follow the instructions on that page to purchase additional licensing and download the image.
