Resetting your Squarespace password

This guide will show you how to reset your password for your Squarespace account if you forgot it.

If you know your password but want to change it, visit Changing your account password. For help using passwords to protect your content, visit Passwords in Squarespace.

Note: If you didn't receive the password reset email, open a ticket with "Didn't receive password reset email" in the subject line.

Before you begin

  • Log out of all sites associated with your Squarespace account before clicking the password reset link.
  • If you requested a password reset multiple times, only the link in the most recent email will work. It may help to delete all previous Squarespace password reset emails from your inbox to avoid clicking the wrong one.

Step 1 - Click forgot password

Go to squarespace.com/login and click Recover Account.

Step 2 - Open the email

You’ll receive a Reset your Squarespace password email from no-reply@squarespace.com with a link to reset your password.

Click Reset Password in the email.

Tip: To ensure that your browser isn't accessing an existing login cookie, try opening the reset link in a private browsing window.

Step 3 - Create a new password

You’ll be directed to a Password Reset page. After creating your password, click Update.

Note: Your new password will apply to all sites associated with your Squarespace account. To learn more, visit Managing multiple sites.
