Subscribe to a website plan to publish your trial site and unlock more features.

Upgrade your free trial to a paid website subscription during your trial or after it expires. When you upgrade, you can publish your site and access more features.

Your trial site stays private until you subscribe to a paid website plan. Registering or connecting a domain doesn't publish the site.

Site owners and contributors with billing permissions can upgrade a trial site. To let someone else upgrade, transfer ownership or invite them with billing permissions.

Pick a plan that includes the features you used in your trial

Compare plans and current prices on our pricing page. If you choose a plan that doesn't include a feature you used during your trial, that feature stops working on your site. You can switch to a higher plan later to turn it back on. Use the site launch checklist to confirm your site is ready before you publish it.

Choose between annual and monthly billing

Both cycles are paid in advance, and we bill the same payment method on the same day each following year or month.

• Annual - You pay for a full year today. Annual plans include a free eligible domain for your first year of service.
• Monthly - You pay for your first month today.

Review your payment methods, currencies, and taxes

Review our accepted payment methods and billing currencies before you check out. The currency you pick for your first payment applies to every later payment and renewal on that site.

You can't change your site's currency after your first payment, or if you move a domain to a trial site with no previous subscriptions. To bill in a different currency, start a new trial site and subscribe there.

We add any applicable state or local sales tax at checkout. To learn more, visit taxes and Squarespace billing.

Confirm you're on the site you want to upgrade

You can't move a website subscription from one site to another. If you have more than one Squarespace site, check the site title and URL in your account dashboard and confirm the site you want still shows as a trial.

What do I do if I upgraded the wrong site?

You can't move a subscription between sites, so cancel the subscription on the wrong site and subscribe on the right one:

1. Open your account dashboard and find the site you meant to upgrade, confirming it's still a trial.
2. Log into the site you upgraded by mistake and cancel it.
3. Log into the trial site you want and click Subscribe.

Depending on your plan and how long the wrong site was active, you may not qualify for an automatic refund. Learn more about our refund policies.

Publish your site

After upgrading, publish your site. You can change your site visibility by hiding it or adding a password. After your site is public, search engines can index your site. You can increase your site’s visibility by using Squarespace’s built-in SEO tools.

Set up your online store

If you set up an online store and connected a payment processor, customers can place orders after your site is public.

Add a domain

Register a custom domain through Squarespace. If you choose annual billing, you get a free domain for your first year.

Subscribe to other Squarespace features

Your plan determines which features you can use, but you can always add extra subscriptions. Every Squarespace subscription is billed separately with its own plan, cycle, and invoice. Changing or canceling one service doesn't affect your other subscriptions.

You can add:

• Acuity Scheduling - Clients can book appointments or classes directly from your site with Acuity Scheduling.
• Email Campaigns - Send emails that match your site’s style and branding with Squarespace Email Campaigns. All sites start with a free Email Campaigns trial.
• Essential Email by Titan - Get a custom email address for your domain through Essential Email by Titan.
• Getty Images - License stock images for your site through Getty Images.
• Google Workspace - Get a custom email address for your domain through Google Workspace.
• LLC with Zenbusiness - Set up and manage your LLC formation with ZenBusiness using your custom domain.
