Step 1 - Remove the Text Block

Hover over the footer and click Edit

Note: If you don't see the Edit annotation, collapse the site preview by clicking the arrow in the top-left corner of your site, or pressing the Escape key. Annotations are also not available while in the Style Editor

In the footer editor, click and drag the "Powered by Squarespace" Text Block into the trash icon that appears. Depending on your template, it'll look something like this:

Step 3 - Remove the navigation link (Shift template only)

If you’re using the Shift template, you’ll see that the “Powered by Squarespace” text isn't in a Text Block. Instead, it's a navigation link in Secondary Navigation.

To remove this, hover over the link title and click the recycle bin icon that appears.

Step 4 - Add a new block (optional)

After removing the Text Block, you can add a new block in its place.

Step 5 - Save

Click Save to publish your changes.
