Forte is a portfolio template ideal for creative firms, designers, and artists. With a full-bleed Index Page, you can put your best shots front and center, encouraging visitors to explore your work.
See the left navigation sidebar for information on building and customizing specific parts of your site. If you haven't yet picked a template, you can get help with initial installation at Getting started with Squarespace. You can also visit our general tips on building a portfolio.
Note: Visit the Forte Live Preview page for examples of real customer sites using this template. If you've already created a site, you can switch your template at any time.
Each page in the Index displays as a full-bleed background image with a content overlay. Clicking a page title opens the connected page.
Large image descriptions
Gallery Pages feature large image description areas, so you have plenty of space to describe your images. When you hover over the caption, the text slides up over the image.
Forte has a color auto-detect feature that determines how light or dark your background is and sets the color of the site title, tag line, navigation, and social icons to black or white.
