Connecting Flickr to Squarespace

Flickr is an image and video hosting website. This guide explores different ways you can use Flickr with Squarespace.

Connect your Flickr account

To authorize your account:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Settings.
  2. Click Connected Accounts.
  3. Click Connect Account.
  4. Select Flickr from the Social Accounts menu. 
  5. Log in with your Flickr username and password. 
  6. Click OK, I'll Authorize It to approve the connection.
  7. Click Save.

Add a social icon

To display a social icon: 

  1. In the Home Menu, click Settings.
  2. Click Social Links.  
  3. Add your Flickr profile link. 
  4. Check Show Social Icon
  5. Click Save

After adding your Flickr link, the social icon will automatically display in most templates, but not all of them. You can also add social icons using the Social Links Block.

Pull content from Flickr using a block

You can display your Flickr images on your site using the Flickr Block. This is a great way to embed your Flickr content on your site without using third-party widgets.

Tip: We update the connection with your Flickr account about every 30 minutes. To manually refresh the connection, return to Connected Accounts, click your Flickr account, and then click Reset Data.
