When a customer purchases a digital product, they'll receive an automated email with a unique download link for the digital file. For security, once a customer clicks the link, they have 24 hours to download the product. 24 hours after the link is first clicked, it will expire.
If the customer needs access to the file after the link expires or wants it sent to a different address, you can send an email with a new link by following this guide.
Step 1 - Go to the Orders panel
Depending on your plan:
- In the Home Menu, click Commerce, and then click Orders.
- In the Home Menu, click Orders.
You can also press the ? key while any panel is open and search orders.
Step 2 - Select an order
Find and click the order for the Digital Product. You can scroll down the page or search by the customer's order #, email, or name. When searching by order number, exclude the #.
Step 3 - Open the Email Notifications tab
In the Order Summary window, click the Email Notifications tab.
Step 4 - Click Send
Verify the email address that will receive the link, then click Send. The new link will remain active for 24 hours after its first clicked.
