Video on how to reactivate your site

This one-minute video walks through logging in, choosing a plan, and resubscribing.

Check if your site is offline or still active

Visit your site's URL. If a Website expired message appears, your site is offline and you can reactivate it from that page.

If your site still loads, it's canceled but active until the end of its billing cycle. Resubscribe from the Billing panel instead.

Reactivate an expired site

Depending on your previous plan, you may need to remove or disable premium features before you can reactivate.

To reactivate an expired site:

1. Go to your site's URL. Images and galleries may not appear correctly until you reactivate.
2. Click Owner login, then log in. If you can't, visit I can't log in, or use a backup login code.
3. If your site expired because a payment failed, update your payment method, then click Save.
4. Click Subscribe in the banner at the bottom of your site.
5. Choose one of our current billing plans. You can’t return to a legacy plan.
6. Review the order summary. To change the payment method, click Edit in the Payment section and enter the new details. If your payment doesn't go through, follow these steps to fix failed renewal payments.
7. Review your subscription, then click Confirm and purchase. Your site reactivates when the purchase is confirmed.

Resubscribe to a canceled site that's still active

If you canceled your site but it’s still active, resubscribing before the end of the cycle keeps it active without interruption. Your previous plan applies automatically and you're charged on your renewal date. If service has already ended, follow the steps to reactivate an expired site instead.

On a monthly plan, your site stays active until the end of the billing cycle.

On an annual plan, your site stays active until the end of your billing cycle unless you took a refund when you canceled. If you did take a refund, your site is expired and you need to reactivate it. Learn what happens when you cancel your website subscription.

To resubscribe:

1. Open the Billing panel for the site.
2. Click Resubscribe.

What happens to my content when I reactivate my site?

After you reactivate, your content usually returns as you left it, though it can take a few hours to repopulate.

If your content doesn't return, it may have been permanently deleted, and we can't recover it. To learn more, visit Delete your site and its content.

What happens to my other subscriptions?

Domains, Google Workspace, Email Campaigns, Acuity Scheduling, and Digital Products are billed separately, so reactivating your site doesn't reactivate them. To learn more, visit What to do with expired subscriptions.

Can I reactivate a trial site?

Yes. If your trial expired, you can upgrade it to a paid plan or extend the trial for seven days.
