Learn more about the products included in our platform plans.
With our website platform plans, you can access multiple Squarespace products with one purchase and price. This guide details what’s included in each plan, how to sign up, and how to manage your plan.
We're rolling out website platform plans in waves, which means that some customers may not have these plans available to them yet.
What’s the difference between website platform plans and individual subscription plans?
The following table details the differences between website platform plans and individual subscription plans:
Website platform plans | Individual subscription plans |
Multiple Squarespace products included in one price | All Squarespace products (websites, Email Campaigns, etc.) are priced and purchased independently |
Individual products in the plans can't be upgraded or downgraded. Instead, you need to upgrade or downgrade the entire plan. | Changing or canceling one product’s subscription doesn’t affect your other products. To learn more about our individual subscription plans, visit Choosing the right Squarespace plan. |
What plan am I on? What plans do I have access to?
To check which plan you're currently on, follow the steps in Checking your billing subscriptions.
The plans available to you will appear when you upgrade your trial, or change your plan.

Where applicable, all state and local taxes are applied to the price of the entire plan. You can review tax amounts at checkout. To learn more, visit US sales tax and Squarespace billing.
Invoices
Your invoice will provide details on the whole website platform offering, rather than receiving an invoice for each subscription in the offering.
Website platform plan trials
When you start a free trial, you also have access to Email Campaigns, and Digital Products. If you need more time, you can extend your trial and maintain access to these other products and services.
Keep these things in mind when starting or upgrading a trial site:
- You can choose a website platform plan when you upgrade your website, or Email Campaigns, trial to a paid plan. Keep in mind that we’re rolling out the plans in waves, so they may not be available to you yet.
- The personal plan doesn't include Digital Products or Email Campaigns. However, you can still sign up for Email Campaigns separately.
- To upgrade Email Campaigns to a paid version or sell digital products, you need to upgrade to the Professional or Premium platform plan.
- You can upgrade from your computer or mobile browser. In app purchases aren't available at this time.
Upgrading a trial to a paid website platform plan
To learn about upgrading your trial, visit Upgrading to paid service. As a note, the guide covers upgrading to our other plans for now, but the steps and concepts for website platform plans are similar.

Changing your website platform plan or cycle
To learn how to change your website platform plan or billing cycle, visit Changing your website billing plan. As a note, the guide covers changing our other plans for now, but the steps and concepts for website platform plans are similar.
Changing your billing cycle
If you’re only changing the billing cycle, learn more about how your renewal date is affected.
Upgrading or downgrading your plan
If you upgrade your billing plan, you’re charged the prorated difference between your old and new plan. For example, if you’re on a plan that costs $150, and then upgrade to a plan that costs $200, your prorated charge would be $50. To learn more about when you gain access to features on your new upgraded plan, visit Changing your website billing plan.
When you downgrade your plan, we don’t offer prorated refunds. You’ll have access to features until the end of your current billing plan, even if you change your billing cycle.
Before downgrading to a Personal plan
If you downgrade to the Personal plan, you’ll have access to commerce features until the end of your current billing period. Before downgrading to the Personal plan, review the following guidelines.
You can switch back to a Professional or Premium plan at any time to get access to these features again.
How plan changes impact accepting payments with PayPal
If you already accept PayPal and then switch to a plan that requires Squarespace Commerce or Digital Product transaction fees, we may disconnect PayPal from your site. If this happens, reconnect PayPal, ensuring you sign the billing agreement to accept Squarespace Commerce or Digital Product transaction fees.
Canceling your website platform plan
When you cancel a website platform plan, all subscriptions included in that plan are canceled. To learn how to end a website platform plan, visit Canceling a website subscription. As a note, the guide covers canceling our other plans for now, but the steps and concepts for website platform plans are similar.
Before canceling, you may want to review these things to consider.
Digital Products plan
If you no longer need a Digital Products plan but want to keep your site, you can downgrade to the Personal platform plan. Keep in mind that this will affect other features of your platform plan. At the end of the billing cycle, your Digital Products plan goes into a pause state for 30 days.
To learn more about what happens when you cancel a Digital Products plan, visit Canceling your Digital Products plan.
What happens if your payment fails
If we can’t authorize the renewal payment, it becomes past due. We’ll try to charge the payment method on file again over the next 15 days. To keep your subscription active, you can update your card at any time during this grace period to manually prompt a charge.
If we still can’t charge your card after 15 days, your plan will expire. As a result:
- Your site will no longer be visible to visitors and search engines.
- You can’t send campaigns.
- Your digital products go into a paused state for 30 days.
