Integrate with Google Merchant Center to display your products in product listings across Google.

Using our integration with Google Merchant Center, you can display your physical products in product listings across Google, like in Google Shopping, Google image searches, and on YouTube. You can sync your products automatically from Squarespace to Google Merchant Center.

This integration is available on Commerce, Professional, and Premium plans.

Requirements

To use this integration, you need to:

• Add a shipping option in Squarespace.
• Be located in the United States and set your site language to English (United States).
• Have a Google Merchant Center account. Multi-client accounts (MCA), also known as advanced accounts, and sub-accounts in an MCA aren't supported at this time.
• Sell physical products.

Connect to Google Merchant Center

To connect your site to Google Merchant Center:

1. Open the Google shopping panel.
2. Click Google Merchant Center Account at the top of the page.
3. If you don’t already have a Google Merchant Center account, follow the prompts to create one.
4. In Google, click Verify & claim website, then scroll down to the Verify your website section.
5. Copy the HTML tag generated for your website.
6. Return to Squarespace and click Paste Google verification code into site header. This opens your site’s Code injection panel. Paste the HTML tag into the Header field and click Save. Don't remove the HTML tag even after you've been verified.
7. Return to your Google Merchant Center account and click Verify website, then click Claim website.
8. To complete the connection process, return to the Google shopping panel, click Sign up with Google, then click Continue.

After you complete the setup process and final review in Google Merchant Center, your site's physical products will sync to Google Product Listings. You can visit the Google panel in Squarespace to view your site’s sync status. It’s not possible to sync some physical products and not others, but you can manage the products that display on Google from your Google Merchant Center account.

Disconnect from Google Merchant Center

To disconnect your site from Google Merchant Center, open the Google panel in Squarespace and click Disconnect. Then, go to your Google Merchant Center account and remove the products you want to stop promoting on Google.
