Report sites that violate our terms, including concerns about malware, harassment, or intellectual property theft. 

If you find content on a Squarespace site that violates our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, you can report it to us for review. We investigate all reports and address each individually based on the nature of the abuse.

Report a site for abuse

To report a site you believe is in violation of our policies, follow these steps:

1. Contact us to open a report.
2. Select the type of abuse you’re reporting, such as phishing, spam, or malware.
3. Provide the URL of the site and any specific details or screenshots that help us identify the issue.

Types of abuse we review

We investigate several categories of abuse to keep our platform safe. To report these issues, use the corresponding links:

• Domain abuse: Malicious activity associated with a domain registered through Squarespace or a third-party domain provider. Report domain abuse with this form.
• Malware: Sites that host or distribute malicious software intended to damage or gain unauthorized access to a system. Report malware abuse with this form.
• Pharming: Sites that redirect visitors to a malicious website or server, often by installing code or manipulating DNS settings. Report pharming abuse with this form.
• Phishing: Sites designed to trick visitors into providing sensitive information, like passwords or credit card numbers. Report Phishing abuse with this form.
• Spam: Sites created primarily to send unsolicited messages or manipulate search engine results. Report spam abuse with this form.

Intellectual property disputes

If you believe a Squarespace site infringes on your trademark or copyright, follow the steps to file a formal DMCA notice or trademark complaint.

Domain name disputes

For issues regarding the registration of a specific domain name, we follow the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP). To find information about a domain’s registrant, use ICANN’s lookup tool.

Report a cybercrime

If you’re the victim of a cybercrime or online fraud, you can also report the incident to the Internet Crime Complaint Center. This external agency handles reports of suspected internet-facilitated criminal activity.
