Adding a Regular Page

A Regular Page is a blank slate. Use blocks to create a custom layout of text, images, audio, forms, and more. This versatile page is a great choice for contact pages, about pages, and—for many sites—the majority of your content.

Step 1 - Add a Regular Page

Desktop Squarespace App

In the Home Menu, click Pages, then click a + icon and choose Page. For detailed steps, visit Adding pages to your navigation.

Tip: In stacked Indexes, the icon is labeled Content.

To add new Regular Pages:

  1. Tap the Pages icon.
  2. Tap Add at the bottom of the navigation section where you want the Regular Page to appear.

Regular Pages can only be added to navigation sections. To add a page to Unlinked Pages, add a Regular Page to the Not Linked section on desktop.

Step 2 - Choose a starter layout

Starter layouts are professional designs with prearranged placeholder blocks. You'll be prompted to select one when adding a Regular Page on desktop.

  • To build a page from scratch, choose Blank.
  • If you're choosing any layout other than Blank, visit Building a page to learn how to work with starter layouts.

Add a Page Title, and click Start Editing.

Tip: There are keyboard shortcuts for quickly adding a blank page.

Step 3 - Add content

Desktop Squarespace App

In the page editor that opens, use the + icon to customize the page with blocks:

When you've finished adding content, click Save.

Step 4 - Style the page

Use the Site Styles panel to adjust your page's style. Regular Pages don't have page-specific style options, but tweaks that change site-wide options such as fonts, background colors, and padding will affect your Regular Pages. To learn more, visit Making style changes.
