Regular Pages are flexible, basic pages you can use when you want to start with a blank space or add content to a predesigned page layout designed for a specific purpose.
With Regular Pages, you'll use drag-and-drop blocks to create a custom layout of text, images, forms, and more common page features. Regular Pages are a great choice for contact pages, about pages, and—for many sites—the majority of your content.
This guide reviews how to add a Regular Page on a desktop or in the Squarespace App and how to add content to a blank layout.
Add content to a Regular Page
To add a new Regular Page, start with a blank page or a starter layout. Then, you'll add content using blocks:
- In the Home Menu, click Pages.
- Click a + icon, and select Page. (If you're adding to a stacked Index, this icon is called Content.)
- To build a page from scratch, choose Blank. If you're choosing any layout other than Blank, visit Building a page to learn how to work with starter layouts.
- Add a Page Title, and click Start Editing.
- Click the + or use insert points to add blocks. Learn more about adding and moving blocks to customize your page.
- When you've finished adding content, click Save.
Note: In the Squarespace App, Regular Pages can only be added to navigation sections. To add a page to Unlinked Pages, add a Regular Page to the Not Linked section on desktop.
- Tap the Pages icon.
- Tap Add at the bottom of the navigation section where you want the Regular Page to appear.
- Tap the + icon to add blocks. Learn more about adding and moving blocks to customize your page.
- When you've finished adding content, tap Done, then tap Save Changes.
- Tap the ... icon in the top right corner to customize the page title.
Tip: As you add blocks to a page, think about how the page layout will appear on mobile browsers.
Style the page (desktop only)
Use the Site Styles panel to adjust the site-wide style tweaks that affect a Regular Page's appearance, like fonts, colors, and spacing. To learn more, visit Making style changes.
